refund policy

regarding handmade items

All of our handmade items will be warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt. Anything past 30 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All returns require prior authorization. Email orders@blackapronwoodworking.com with the order and product information for authorization. Once approved a shipping label will be issued for the item return.

Authorized items for return must be received within 14 days of authorization.

items that can be returned:

  • New and unused products

  • Products damaged during shipping

  • Defective products

items that cannot be returned:

  • Products that have come into contact with food (it is a violation of health regulations for us to accept these)

  • Used products that have been cut on

  • Products that were ordered more than 30 days ago

  • Products with no proof of purchase (we store records of every order in our system)

defective items

Defects are described as anything which will render the item as unusable such as cracks, splits, or warps. Natural coloration of the wood is not a defect. All defective items will be repaired, replaced or refunded. Returned items must be in the original packaging.

non-defective items

All non-defective items that are accepted for return will be at our discretion. All non-defective items will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Returned items must be in the original packaging.

customer induced damage

All items with customer induced damage will not be acceptable for returns.

shipping damage

In cases where the shipping company damages your order, it is important to take pictures of the boxing and damage to the product. We will submit a claim to the carrier and when the claim is accepted a refund will be issued.

order not received

Contact us immediately and we’ll get you taken care of. We need to know within 30 days of the order to be able to submit a claim, so anything outside of this will make it extremely difficult to find your item.

regarding merchandise

All merchandise items are provided through a third-party vendor. Please contact us by email orders@blackapronwoodworking.com with the order and product information and we will work with the vendor to resolve the issue.
